Two little figures. A ticking clock. The promise of a future that just keeps on coming - tick, tick, tick, ready or not?
So we go through the motions, the roles and rituals that give meaning to our little lives.
But why does it all feel so pretend? What if we don't know what we're doing; if it all starts falling apart? 

We thought we were dreamers. Tick, tick, tick. Time to spin new worlds from the rubble. Can we be young enough and silly enough for that? Did nobody teach us how to dance and sing?

Chu Chi Face is a wild romp of cogs, chaos, clowning and cabaret, an inarticulate cry for dress-up, defiance and hope. It's a show for prophets and dreamers and clowns, a love story for fools. It asks what we might do if choice wasn't just an illusion, and time truly was our own. 

Supported by Manipulate Festival, Vanishing Point & Surge, with funding from Creative Scotland, Chu Chi Face is a new collaboration with theatre-maker Duncan MacLeod and an exciting Scottish creative team. It's a show about defiance, madness and hope and how we might go about imagining new worlds. Watch this space...
